To Him that knoweth to do good.....
"Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can."- John Wesley

Bring it ON!
I am SOOOOOO ready for the FALL! It is my favorite time of the year!! It means that the HOT days are gone....and the delightful colors, smells, and holidays are on their way!
One thing I despise about living in Central Arkansas is the dreadful heat! This summer was awful...triple digits almost from the beginning. I am so very glad to say goodbye to that!
This weekend has been so nice....After a week or so of a hurricane, tropical depression, flash floods, and severe thunderstorms-it has finally cooled down just a bit. I am already burning my favorite pumpkin spice candles!! I'm seeing fall decorations, and halloween candy in the store, and I can't help but smile! =)
I can't wait to pull out the light sweaters, and scarves! (Yes, I know that is so female of me-but what can I say? I love it!
I am planning to enjoy some fun events this fall-like I did as a child! Even if I have to host them myself!! WHO wants to come??? =) I want to go on a hay ride, I want to have a bonfire, roast hot dogs, marshmallows, and eat frito chili pie! Also-I am ready to see multi-colored leaves blowing in the wind-ready to see God's beautiful "artwork" displayed all around me as I drive to and from work each day. What beautiful masterpieces he always creates!
And as this Season changes-My prayer is this: Lord, whatever you are doing in this season-don't do it without me!
Blessings!

So very true....
The Bible tells a story about a man called Blind Bartimaeus. His name simply meant: "Son of Timaeus". Because of his handicap-he wasn't even considered important enough to have his own name. He was KNOWN by his handicap! But one day-when Jesus was passing by-He began to cry out for Jesus to have mercy on Him. The story reflects that many people tried to get him to be quiet, but he cried out louder. Jesus stopped and asked him what he wanted. But as Bartimaeus rose to tell Jesus that he wanted to be healed of his blindness-the Bible tells us that he cast his garment aside. Meaning that he took off the garment that identified Him as a blind man-as if to say to Jesus that he no longer wanted to be identified by his handicap. How powerful is that? We MUST lay aside the weight AND the sin that so easily besets us! As we know-Bartimaeus was healed that day! He went forth from that place a NEW man-with a NEW identity!
Do NOT allow your struggle, temptation, or sickness to identify you. Refuse to accept your situation, but live every day-Expecting a Miracle. The same healing that Bartimaeus received that day on the side of the road-is available to us today!

Equal Ground.....
We live in a world that divides people into classes. Upper, middle, and lower. Depending on what class we fall in ourselves-we tend to judge others by their "class".
But one step into a waiting room in a doctor's office, a funeral home, or a place like where I was yesterday: a chemotherapy treatment center, and you realize something very important. Classes don't matter there-because no amount of money

can buy health and wellness. The Best insurance plans can't cure you. The ground is level here. Everyone just wants to survive. And all that matters-is that God is on your side. I am so glad to know that the God I serve-is a God to ALL classes. Upper, middle, or low-He loves ALL the same. And He performs miracles for all classes. I wish I could testify to everyone in this room today-and share with them the hope of Jesus Christ! What a mighty God we serve!!

I was privileged tonight to baptize TWO teenage girls in Jesus' name! Both girls received the Holy Ghost during our church service! I am so excited about what God has started in their families! God is doing great, powerful, and mighty things at the Lighthouse! I am glad to be a witness of it! The FIRE is STILL falling!!

Remember-IF you want to SOAR like an eagle-you can't hang out with turkeys! There will be people in your life who will always be trying to bring you down. When you encounter those types of people-do not kid yourself into thinking that you have the power within you to change them. No one, but God has that power. Recognize them for who/what they are, pray for them, and go ON with your life by separating yourself from them as much as possible.

A personal God! =)
Some of you may have already heard about this, but I never want to fail to testify of what a PERSONAL God I serve! Several weeks ago-I was in the Houston, Tx. area. And while shopping in a department store one evening-I was approached by someone who was not of my "church affiliation"-who told me that God had sent her to bless me. She offered to pay for the clothing I had selected. Surprised by this-I said oh no, thank you. To which she replied-God said to tell you that He has cracked the windows of Heaven and is beginning to pour out blessings in your life. He has sent me here to teach you how to receive them! Still unsure of what to say-I thanked her and tried to walk away. Finally, she pointed to the items I had selected and said-That is not everything you want from this store, and she turned back and began pulling things down that I had just been looking at. She said...I saw you looking at this, this, and this.....After selecting HUNDREDS of $ in clothing-she said, ok is there anything else? I said no ma'am-This is too much. I am flying back home and I do not have room in my luggage for these items. She said then we need to buy another piece of luggage.....!! Needless to say-I left that store with LOTS of new clothes, and a new piece of luggage! On my drive back to where I was staying-I began to thank God for it, and said out loud-"God, why clothes?-You know I didn't NEED them." God then spoke to my spirit and said: "Because that's how well I KNOW you".....God has promised to meet all of our needs, and He always will. But don't you ever doubt that our God knows every little detail about you, and it matters to Him. =)

Wonderful Wonders of God!
Every time I travel-I am always reminded of the wonderful wonders of our mighty God! He is the creator of ALL things. What beauty He has filled this amazing world with. HE is an artist of artists!
Today, I stood with my feet in the ocean in Oak Island, N.C. I closed my eyes and listened to the sounds of the waves, the music of the sea gulls flying over my head, and felt the shells/rocks/sand beneath my feet! I also felt the wind blowing in my hair, and the sun on my face! I couldn't help but think how ONLY the God of glory could create ALL of those amazing things! What a mighty God we serve! Why would I EVER doubt a God-whose nail scarred hands hold the Universe? A God whose foot stool is the earth! I am more encouraged, and more determined than EVER to put ALL of my trust and confidence in HIM! He is MORE than ABLE to meet all of our needs. Whatever you need-I encourage you to put your trust in Him today as well. There is nothing impossible with God! NOTHING! Be blessed and encouraged as you too begin to walk in the wonderful wonders of God!

...the rest of the story!
Most of you have heard me tell the story of my "accident testimony" of how God spared my life in a horrific automobile accident 11 years ago. When I tell this story-I usually just tell the highlights, or the "big stuff". I often fail to mention the smallest details of how God has truly performed a miracle in my life! One of those small details is the miracle he performed concerning my vision.
Before my accident-I had only the slightest vision problem. I wore glasses due to being unable to see things at a distance. I just had a slight magnification in my lenses.
However, in the accident-my vision was severely damaged. A lot of glass got into my eyes as my head went through the sunroof. In addition-every time the car flipped and my head slammed the asphalt-further damage to my eyes occurred.
The day after my first surgery-an eye surgeon examined my eyes. I recall him asking me how many fingers he was holding up, but I couldn't tell. I was looking through what appeared to be a grey film.....I could see something, but could not describe it. After a few days I could see much more clearly, but I knew something was still wrong with my vision. After being discharged from the hospital-I went in to see the eye surgeon, and he told me that my vision had greatly recovered from the loss that occurred during the accident, but that my eyes contained scars that would cause me to need a stronger prescription. I would possibly have trouble seeing double at times-especially at night. Certainly, I was thankful for the improvement, and I certainly was not complaining! To me-this was a miracle in itself!
A few years later-I had another eye exam, and the Dr confirmed that I needed the glasses due to the scarring on my eyes, but that my vision was otherwise perfect. I had an astigmatism on my left eye, but the scarring in both eyes was the real issue. Still, I thanked God for the miracle of my vision after such a horrific accident.
But YESTERDAY-I went to get an eye exam, and the Dr. did a thorough examination....not once, but TWICE! Why? Because she could NO LONGER see ANY scarring on either of my eyes! Her report was that I have 20/20 vision in BOTH eyes. The astigmatism requires a slight prescription for my left eye for distance focusing, but nothing at all needed for my right eye. To me this is just greater evidence of the Miracle that I have received-down to the tiniest of details! To you-this may seem so insignificant, but to me-it is just more of a reason to let my life give God the greatest praise I could ever give! God is SO good!
And NOW you KNOW the REST of the story.......=)
Ain't God GOOD?!!!

How beautiful are your feet?....
In Romans 10:15 we read: "And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"
The writer was speaking to people whose feet were not always clean. People who did not have pedicure shops on every corner of their villages. Folks whose sandal-clad feet walked through all kinds of dust and dirt on a daily basis as they went about their journeys. Thus there was so much foot washing going on! =) It was a common custom for people to have dirty feet. Yet, the writer points out that for one who is coming to preach the gospel of peace, or to simply bring good tidings of good things...that no matter what they came thru to bring it-even their feet were beautiful!

Yet, the writer points out that for one who is coming to preach the gospel of peace, or to simply bring good tidings of good things...that no matter what they came thru to bring it-even their feet were beautiful!
But for those of us who usually have clean feet (yes, even we Arkansas hillbillies!)-I wonder how beautiful are our feet on a regular basis? You may have the cleanest/smoothest feet, with the best of pedicures, but if when you are coming-you are not bringing good news-how pretty are your feet really?
Hopefully, you realize that I am speaking in a spiritual sense (I really don't want to see your feet! ha! ) But in a world that is so negative, and so many are presenting a negative message-even many so called Christians....I want to challenge you to check your "feet"! What message are people hearing from your lips, your attitude, your life? Are you bringing good tidings of good things, or are you spewing negativity? You may not be a preacher-traveling the world preaching the gospel of peace, but you (YES, even YOU) can bring good news! Good tidings of good things! .......
Quite often when I pray....I say these words: Lord, shine your search light from Heaven upon my mind, body, heart, and soul. If you find ANYTHING that should not be there-first, forgive me-then wash me, and take it out. Renew within me the right spirit, and help me to KEEP the right spirit.......
Why is this request of daily importance to me? Because I am human. It is my nature to fail to see the hope, the peace, and the good news that is readily available to all of us every single day. We serve a God who presents us with NEW mercy every morning! What a mighty God we serve! We MUST learn to speak LIFE!
I pray that this blog leaves you feeling encouraged, and inspired to develop BEAUTIFUL feet! =)
Blessings!

Happy New Year!
In 2011-God answered many prayers for me that I had been praying about for a very long time! I am so thankful!! No matter what happened in 2011-I want to challenge you to step into 2012 with greater faith and hope than ever before. God cares, and He is MORE than able to meet all of our needs!
Sometimes it seems that we pray for something for so long, yet the prayers remain unanswered. It gets so hard. It makes you feel forgotten. But the truth is-God's timing and ways are far above ours. He IS in control, and He WILL answer right on time. So, keep your head up, and believe! Whatever you have been asking God to do....even if you have lost your zeal, or your hope-believe again!
May you receive the BEST that Heaven has for you in 2012! Hold to God's unchanging hand! NEVER NEVER NEVER let go!!
